Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia, the 7th largest capital in Northern Europe and 22th in the European Union.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of tourists come here to see its picturesque Old Town – the best-preserved medieval site in the Baltic States, and perhaps throughout Europe, with the Gothic towers, impregnable walls, narrow streets, and old churches.
Located on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland, Tallinn is a relatively small city but rich in historical and cultural attractions.

In 1997, the Old Town of Tallinn was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The area is about 118 hectares (291 acres).
