The Warsaw tram network forms part of the public transportation system in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. It is operated by the company Tramwaje Warszawskie Sp. z o.o.
The first tramway entered service in Warsaw in 1886 as a horsecar line. In 1908, the first electric line was opened in the city. Today, the Warsaw tram network comprises 26 lines and is 132 kilometers (82 miles) long. Annually, it has nearly 200 million passengers.
